Student Leader Residential 2015

14 October 2015

72 Student Leaders kicked off their year working with the University of Westminster Students’ Union (UWSU) through a weekend of team-building activities and all-round fun.

Participating in the event were this year's Society, Sports Team and Student Media Leaders from UWSU. The weekend's activities were designed to equip students with the skills they will need in their leadership roles. In addition to fun team-building activities, the weekend also featured sessions on time management, gaining sponsorship and effective communication.

The students participating are on their way to gaining recognition for their achievements on their Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR).

Want to get involved?

If you want to take part in the UWSU away weekend next September, you'll need to put yourself forward to be one of the UWSU society presidents, sports team captains or head of student media. These roles will all be available at the end of semester 2 and are either elected or appointed based on interview.

You don’t have to be a student leader to get involved in a sports team, society or student media group – and you can join in at any point during the year.

Find out more about UWSU's activities and how you can participate on the UWSU website.
