The language of knowledge in STEM disciplines: Enhancing the communication of new knowledge in science and technology
This project investigates communication events (e.g. lectures, conferences, media texts) considered important for the creation and dissemination of scientific knowledge in order to identify communication practices in STEM disciplines.
It aims at producing in-depth descriptions of how language is used to construct and disseminate knowledge in discipline-specific communication practices to peers and the general public. This will allow the design of communication strategies for scientists and professionals involved in science communication and pedagogical interventions for students in STEM disciplines.
