We aspire to conduct high quality research in the field, and to engage externally with the local business community and public organisations. Our group will build on the expertise of Westminster Business School which already has some pockets of research expertise in the area of entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship, ethnic minority businesses, women in business to name a few.
Entrepreneurship also draws upon other disciplines such as finance, marketing, HR. This group will focus on collaborate projects through bidding for funds as well as submitting papers to high quality conferences and journals thus working towards the next REF. It will also encourage the development of early career researchers in this area.
Westminster Business School has developed a diverse and successful portfolio of entrepreneurial learning and teaching comprising:
- Business and Management – Entrepreneurship BA
- MBA (Innovation and Entrepreneurship module)
- MBA (Social Entrepreneurship module)
- PhD topics in the areas of small business and entrepreneurship
In addition, many students engage in other entrepreneurial activities eg through business competitions or their own activities.
