Special Interest Group in Entrepreneurship

Dr Spinder Dhaliwal has set up the Special Interest Group in Entrepreneurship (SIG) to provide leadership and a focus for our entrepreneurial activities. The SIG will coordinate and conduct a range of activities, including the teaching of University-wide entrepreneurship modules, the provision of extracurricular initiatives ranging from the business incubator and the student entrepreneurship society to events including speaker panels, debates and competitions.

The University has long had research links with business as well as longstanding collaborative links with large and medium sized firms. Entrepreneurship is evident in many of the current activities of the Business School.

The SIG will work with the networks, partners and resources of Westminster Business School to stimulate and encourage a more entrepreneurial education and support sector to create the opportunities for more individuals and organisations to develop the capacities they need for an entrepreneurial future.

We will welcome entrepreneurs and business professionals to share their wide-ranging experiences and expertise through guest lectures, case studies and real life experience to complement the teaching. The group also seek to build up a network of angel investors interested in supporting young businesses.
