Migration and Security

Research in this strand examines the securitisation of immigration in Europe’s political discourse, the erosion of the boundaries between internal and external security and between policies for policing, immigration and anti-terrorism. Research is also conducted into the political economy of migration, particularly in Francophone Africa, and mobility, including the processes of displacement and the role of international labour regimes. Dr Hannah Cross is an Editor of The Review of African Political Economy
