Communications, cultural and media studies research at the University of Westminster is world-leading. It has informed parliamentary inquiries, including The Leveson Inquiry, influenced writing of reports produced by organisations such as the United Nations, and led to developments at the BBC and the LEGO Group.

With a strong international focus, the Faculty established its acclaimed China Media Centre six years ago, this was followed by the Arab Media Centre, Africa Media Centre and India Media Centre, combining the expertise of scholars from across a range of subject specialisms. The Faculty also has a growing research base in commercial music.
