John O'Donoghue

John O'Donoghue is a poet, writer and visiting lecturer in Creative Writing. He is the author of the poetry collections Letter To Lord Rochester (Waterloo Press, 2004); The Beach Generation (Pighog Press, 2007); Brunch Poems (Waterloo Press, 2009) and Fools & Mad, forthcoming from Waterloo Press.

His memoir, Sectioned: A Life Interrupted was awarded Mind Book Of The Year 2010 by judges Fay Weldon, Michele Roberts, and Blake Morrison.

He has appeared at literary festivals in the UK and abroad including the Edinburgh International Book Festival; Ledbury Poetry Festival; Cork Midsummer Arts Festival; Dublin Theatre Festival; Cuisle Poetry Festival, Limerick; Poetry Moon Festival, Helsinki; and The Golden Boat Poetry Translation Week, Slovenia.
