Is the Impact Agenda Feminist? Delivered by Westminster Business School’s Professor Shona Bettany, this lecture explores the interface between impact and feminism. It offers both a critique of the current impact agenda and the opportunity to explore the possibilities and insight offered by feminist scholarship to developing research which makes a difference.
Shona Bettany is Professor of Marketing and Director of Research at Westminster Business School. She completed her undergraduate and PhD studies at Lancaster University School of Management. Her discipline within marketing is consumer behaviour, focusing on cultural consumer trends. Her interest in academic research as an empirical domain has continued alongside this. Professor Bettany has recently completed an ESRC-funded research project on impact in UK business schools. She has been published in many journals including the Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management and Advances in Consumer Research.
