Centre for the Study of Law, Society and Popular Culture (CLSPC) was heavily involved in the British Society of Sports History Conference that took place at the University at the beginning of September.

You can read more about this in our news story here. Peter Catterall performed a sterling job pulling this all together. Three papers were presented at the conference by members of the Centre, with Elaine Penn from the Archives also delivering a paper. The full programme can be downloaded here.  

Peter Catterall was interviewed by Professor Justin Smith of De Montfort University about my edited book on ‘The Origins of Channel 4’ 2nd ed. (Abingdon: Routledge, 2015) as part of his research for his forthcoming book on Film Four.
