This will affect the following services:
- SITS and SRSWeb (Student services)
- Starrez (Student accommodation)
- Concept (Estates Helpdesk system)Printing Services (Students might not be able to print)
Blackboard, Office 365 and Google mail services will not be affected, and Library services should operate as normal.
Why we have planned maintenance weekends
As part of our commitment to provide IT services with minimal disruption, there are three scheduled weekend maintenance periods per year.
We carry out essential systems upgrades and also test our business continuity processes. The completion of this kind of maintenance over weekend periods minimizes disruption to teaching and business functions.
The next IT services weekend maintenance periods are scheduled for January 2015
The dates are planned a year in advance and are published on the University website along with other key dates in the University Calendar.
