Soho Radio: The History of Soho on Clare Lynch’s Soho Society Hour

Dr Peter Speiser, Senior Lecturer in History, talked about his new book ‘Soho’ on Clare Lynch’s ‘past, presents and future’ Soho Society Hour with local residents Leslie Hardcastle, Marina Tempia and Jane Doyle.

The Soho Society was formed in 1972 “to make Soho a better place in which to live, work or visit.”

Dr Speiser talked about the history of Soho from the 1850s to the 1950s, including Carnaby Street, the residents of the area and Soho’s night life.
