St Anthony single and video released by Writer in Residence Mike Garry
11 August 2015
This is a fantastic piece of work celebrating Tony Wilson who died this week in 2007, loosely based on Your Silent Face by New Order and superbly arranged by musician and composer Joe Duddell. In addition, and as if it couldn’t get any better, all the proceeds go to The Christie in Manchester who cared for Tony during his illness. Watch the video and learn more about how to buy the single and support this great cause.
More details of how Mike got involved in the work of the Centre and more information from the Law and Popular Culture blog. Mike taught some classes on the ‘Writing the City’ module for the Department of English, Linguistics and Cultural Studies last year and there are lots more activities to come, including a special Canadian Poets event in October, more details to follow.
