Seminar on Planning for Housing a Success

Chris Shepley, Visiting Professor and a former Chief Planning Inspector chaired the event. The speakers were Deborah Garvie, Senior Policy Officer, SHELTER and Westminster Alumnus, who addressed ‘Housing need, homelessness and the need for social housing’; Andy von Bradsky, chair PRP and member of the Housing Standards Challenge Panel, who discussed the review of housing standards and Duncan Bowie, Senior Lecturer in Planning and convener of the Highbury Group on Housing Delivery, whose talk was entitled ‘Towards a new policy framework for planning and housing delivery.
