Fifteen final year students from the Fashion Design BA Honours course will show their A/W19 collections at London Fashion Week on Friday 15 February in Ambika P3.

The University of Westminster’s Fashion Design BA Honours course is the only undergraduate course in the world to show its graduate collections on the official London Fashion Week schedule.

Students were selected by an industry panel that included Lulu Kennedy MBE, founder of Fashion East, designer Charles Jeffrey, and 1 Granary editor Olya Kuryschuk.

Both menswear and womenswear designers will be debuting their new collections at the Westminster show, in front of an invited audience of the world’s top fashion press.

Students debuting their collections at London Fashion Week in February have already spent a year in industry working for companies including Marc Jacobs, Erdem, Vivienne Westwood, Chalayan, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Thom Browne, Aitor Throup, Tom Ford, Haider Ackermann, Viktor & Rolf, Rushemy Botter, Eckhaus Latta, Martine Rose, Aitor Throup, Berthold, Christopher Kane and Celine.

Course Director Professor Andrew Groves said: “We are excited to be once again showing at London Fashion Week and highlighting the outstanding work that our students have produced. Building on last year’s alignment of the course with the international fashion calendar now means we can show at London Fashion Week and then all student can go to Paris in May to show their S/S20 precollections within a showroom setting and meet both buyers and industry representatives from some of Paris’ biggest fashion houses.”

Westminster Fashion alumni include London Fashion Week designers Roberta Einer, Claire Barrow, Katie Ann McGuigan, Liam Hodges and Ashley Williams; as well as Christopher Bailey, Vivienne Westwood, and Stuart Vevers, Creative Director of Coach.
