Dominic Huckbody, a second year student on the BA Fashion Design course in the Westminster School of Media, Arts and Design has been announced as the winner of the 2017 #DRAWFASHION illustration prize.

Organised by the London College of Fashion, #DRAWFASHION 2017 showcased the work of some of the UK’s brightest and best up-and-coming talent in fashion illustration.

Now in its third year London College of Fashion’s #DRAWFASHION Awards in association with Cass Art, celebrates the deeply analytical and emotive skills of drawing and fashion illustration through a nationwide competition.

As well as winning £1000, Dominic’s winning fashion illustration was part of an exhibition in the heart of London’s Carnaby Street displayed in September to coincide with London Fashion Week.

Dominic’s winning entry was one of many Westminster Students illustrations that were part of the exhibition.

Renowned illustrator, Richard Gray, who teaches Fashion illustration on the Fashion Design BA Honours course, commented on Dominic’s success: “It was thrilling to see fashion illustration being given such a fantastic platform and very rewarding to see so many Westminster fashion students work included, and obviously fantastic for Dominic Huckbody to win.”
