Westminster launches Fashion Marketing and Promotion BA in response to changing landscape of industry

Fashion 8 January 2016

In response to the needs of businesses in the new, changing landscape of the fashion industry, the University of Westminster has developed its new Fashion Marketing and Promotion BA Honours course.

The University’s extensive industry network is increasingly looking for creative and digitally literate fashion business graduates to help drive their marketing and promotion strategy across multiple customer touch points. This course is designed to bridge the space between creative vision and the commercial bottom line.

The course is designed to develop students’ creative, technical and interpersonal skills as well as their commercial flair and business acumen. Students will also have the opportunity to advance their language skills to exploit the increasing global opportunities. Teaching and learning on the course is interactive, covering academic, creative practice and industry-applied elements.

The University of Westminster has an outstanding reputation for developing talented and original fashion graduates. Our alumni include Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative Officer of Burberry; Katie Hillier, Creative Director for Hillier Bartley; Michael Herz, Artistic Director of DVF; Jutta Kraus, Creative Director of Bernhard Willhelm; and Stuart Vevers, Creative Director of Coach.

As a Fashion Marketing and Promotion student at the University of Westminster, you will be part of a community of designers, fashion management students, academics and practitioners with an excellent reputation in the fashion industry. Westminster students have undertaken internships with the world’s leading fashion companies, including Alexander McQueen, Celine, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Christian Dior, Balmain, Adidas, Jeremy Scott, Lanvin, Givenchy and Balenciaga.

The University of Westminster’s Fashion Marketing and Promotion BA Honours is taught at the Westminster School of Media, Arts and Design at the University’s Harrow Campus.
