Student wins Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments' Education Trust Award
Accounting, Finance and Economics 14 March 2016
The CISI Education Trust Awards recognise and celebrate the successes of finance students in the UK for their high standards of work. Alex graduated Investment and Risk Finance MSc, a CISI accredited course, with a Distinction in November 2015, and was nominated to CISI by Westminster Business School as one of the faculty’s best performing postgraduate students.
In the first round of the awards, Alex was judged by the CISI to have submitted one of the top 5 postgraduate essays. He went on to the second round, along with one other postgraduate student from a London-based business school, where he was announced as the winner.
Alex will be presented with the award and a cash prize to support his progression in his financial services career, at the CISI Annual Awards Ceremony on 14 April.
Westminster Business School is one of the CISI centres of excellence in the world and has participated successfully in the Educational Trust Awards for the second year running. Last year, Shrey Dinesh Jain was one of the 15 winners of the 2015 Educational Trust Awards. The Department of Accounting, Finance and Governance at Westminster Business School is planning to put forward more of its excellent postgraduate students for the CISI awards next year.
