Student success in Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments' Education Trust Awards
Accounting, Finance and Economics 10 February 2016
Alexander, who recently graduated from the Investment and Risk Finance MSc with distinction, has been shortlisted as author of one of the top five postgraduate essays selected for the CISI Education Trust Awards essay writing competition.
In the 2016 awards, 16 CISI partner universities and centres of excellence were represented. The award recognises and celebrates the success of finance students in the UK for their high standards of work. Students are nominated by their own institutions for their essays, which are then marked and scored independently by two CISI senior advisors.
Alexander’s Head of Department, Dr Harry Thapar, and his Course Leader, and Dr Sheeja Sivaprasad, said: “We would like to congratulate Alexander Sholarin for winning the CISI essay competition this year. We wish him further success in the final interviews round of the award process in March.”
Westminster Business School is one of 13 CISI centres of excellence in the world and has participated successfully in the Educational Trust Awards for the second year running. Last year, Shrey Dinesh Jain was one of the 15 of the 2015 Educational Trust Awards. The Department of Accounting, Finance and Governance at Westminster Business School is planning to put forward more of its excellent postgraduate students for the CISI awards next year.
