Celebrating Westminster Business School student success at the 2016 Achievement Awards

8 February 2016

On Wednesday 3 February, Westminster Business School held the 2016 Achievement Awards. With a scholarship of £1,000 awarded to each recipient, this is a prestigious award and a great achievement for all winners.

The Achievement Awards were presented to the 78 undergraduate students who attained the highest grades among their peers. The ceremony was presented by Westminster Business School’s Dean Dr David Hitchcock (pictured above), Chair of the Advisory Board Dr Andrew Summers and Director of Undergraduate Studies Helen Batley.

Tonight, winning this award makes me feel very proud, not only because it’s very difficult to win, but being the only Congolese [winner] is something that I feel a great sense of achievement about. To anyone who is hoping to win an award next year, my top tip is simply to enjoy yourself – try to find something small – it doesn’t matter if it's at university, in your private life, or your work life – there’s always something you can enjoy.

The ceremony was followed by an evening reception where students, family and staff could celebrate and toast to success.
