Westminster Psychology Technician is awarded prestigious national prize

Psychology Technician Haulah Zacharia from the University of Westminster is a joint winner of the national Technical Support in Psychological Research Award. The prestigious award recognises the valuable role that technicians play in supporting academic research in psychology departments.

Haulah was honoured twice, at the British Psychological Society’s (BPS) annual conference in Liverpool and at the Association of Technical Staff in Psychology’s (ATiSP) annual conference.

Haulah has worked at the University for ten years supporting students and staff in teaching, learning and research. The award recognises Haulah’s role in providing expertise to the University’s Psychology Department in many aspects, from supporting practical classes, one-to-one tutorials, guidance with experimental design and data analysis. Haulah has also been responsible for key strategic decisions about the management, development and procurement of research resources.

The University’s Department of Psychology is well known for its research, and has an outstanding teaching reputation, offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree courses.

The University of Westminster’s Psychology Department is located at the University’s Cavendish Campus.
