University of Westminster graduate awarded The Construction Prize 2015

James Shiner, who graduated from the University of Westminster’s Construction Management BSc Honours degree, has been awarded The Constructors Prize 2015 by The Worshipful Company of Constructors (Constructors Company).

James graduated from the University of Westminster in June 2014 with a First Class Honours Degree in Construction Management. He studied for his degree on a part-time basis over a five year period. Throughout his studies he was employed as a Trainee Construction Manager by SDC Builders Ltd in Bedford.

Speaking of James’s achievement, the Constructors Company said:

“He consistently achieved top marks in all the modules of his degree. To achieve these results is exceptional, but to do this while in full-time employment is a quite phenomenal achievement, and makes James a worthy recipient of the Constructor’s Prize.”

In association with The University of Westminster, The Constructors Prize is awarded to a First Class Honours Degree graduate every year.

The Worshipful Company of Constructors is the 99th Livery Company in the City of London and its Liverymen are Chartered Members of their respective professional institutes, many are in leading positions within the wider industry.

The Constructors Company continues to support scholarships and awards in the Industry including substantial research and travel awards to young persons. As a champion of the built environment, the Constructors Company offers a range of scholarships to support students, graduates, academics and practitioners inorder to promote and reward the construction leaders of the future.
