The SGroup Network welcomes the University of Westminster
20 February 2015
The SGroup Network is a not-for-profit dynamic platform for university collaboration among European and non-EU institutions. Its aim is to develop the internationalisation of its members, to foster university excellence in education and research and to promote continuous adaptation to educational and societal needs in a creative and innovative way. Engagement with the SGroup Network will support the University of Westminster’s strategic activity, in relation both to internationalisation and to innovation.
Through its Global Engagement project, the University of Westminster is further developing and consolidating its portfolio of international activities and partnerships, and is delighted in that context to join the SGroup Network. The University of Westminster’s Global Engagement framework recognises the students, staff and alumni of the University as a global community; attends to the global experience of staff and students; fosters global research themes and connections; and grows global connections of many kinds. The delivery of the framework is entrusted to Professor Alexandra Hughes, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement, and it includes in its key priorities outward mobility of students and staff.
The University of Westminster is home to more than 20,000 students from over 150 nations and staff from over 80 countries across 139 undergraduate and 167 postgraduate courses.
