Professor Vlatka Hlupic wins Chartered Management Institute's award

Entitled 'The 6 Box Leadership diagnostics: implementing management research into practice for more value creation', this study presents research background to the 6 Box Leadership diagnostic tool.
This tool has been developed on the basis of many years of interdisciplinary research, to enable organisations to discover hidden strengths and weaknesses in the areas of culture, relationships, individuals, strategy, systems and processes, and move towards management based on collaborative culture, distributed leadership and autonomy.
About Professor Vlatka Hlupic
Professor Vlatka Hlupic has an interdisciplinary background with various academic and professional qualifications – from economics, information systems and computing, to coaching, psychological kinesiology and neurolinguistic programming.
She is an executive coach and has worked as an adviser for many international organisations and governments. Vlatka is a founder and the CEO of the Drucker Society London, as well as a keynote and TEDx speaker at major international events.

Management Articles of the Year Award
Encouraging and recognising accessible academic writing and bringing it to the attention of practising managers is a key part of CMI’s commitment to improving the quality and integrity of managers and leaders who will, in turn, help their organisations perform better. The CMI Management Articles of the Year initiative is supported by the British Academy of Management, the Association of Business Schools and the British Library.
CMI launched the initiative in 2011 with the dual aims of ensuring business school research meets business needs and directing time-poor managers to the research that will help them most. It helps meet priorities set out by the Government for Higher Education institutions to work more closely with businesses, as well as being in line with the REF approach to demonstrating research impact and enabling business schools to get real world feedback from the managers the research is meant to benefit.
CMI issued a challenge to the academic community, inviting academics to submit research for professional managers to review. Submitted articles were reviewed online and given a usefulness rating by CMI members and those with the best ratings were then examined by the CMI Academic Advisory Council, a committee made up of leading academics from across the UK.
