Polylang - learn a new language alongside your studies

13 March 2015

Have you ever wanted to learn a language? With a Polylang module, you can study a language as part or alongside your degree.

Polylang, the University's credited open language programme, offers you the opportunity to study a foreign language as part or alongside your degree. We offer tuition in the following 8 languages:

  • Arabic
  • Spanish
  • Chinese
  • Italian
  • French
  • Japanese
  • German
  • Russian

Language skills will make you more employable, increase your communication skills and will help you to gain an insight into other cultures.

You can start a new language as a complete beginner or you can continue with a language you already have some knowledge of.

All modules carry 15 credits, are year-long and can potentially count towards your degree qualification.

Teaching takes place in an atmosphere that is enjoyable and interactive and all lecturers are native speakers.

Give your degree the edge! If you would are not sure which language to take, or if you would like more information about the modules, come to one of our registration sessions for advice in the week beginning 28 September.

For details, see the Polylang web pages.
