Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) launches at Westminster

30 April 2015

We are pleased to announce that the University of Westminster, in line with many other institutions, has launched the Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) for all undergraduate students who commenced their course in September 2014.

The HEAR is a formal degree transcript that provides a full record of your university achievements, including both academic and extra-curricular achievement.

It's an electronic document that can be accessed online while studying for your degree or after you’ve graduated and are applying for employment or further study. In the face of an increasingly competitive environment, the HEAR will be a key resource for helping employers and others to appreciate the breadth of your capabilities.

All eligible undergraduate students will have received an email from a company called Gradintel in the past week. In order to access your HEAR, you will need to follow the instructions in the email and activate your Gradintel account. Once your account is set up, you will be able to securely access your HEAR record and share it with others. Your HEAR record will be updated with your module marks and extra-curricular achievements as you progress through your course – updates will take place at the end of the academic year.

Although it is not compulsory for students to create an account with Gradintel, you will need an account in order to access your HEAR.

Further information on the HEAR and Gradintel, including a sample HEAR, and a list of extra-curricular activities that will be included in the HEAR can be found on the HEAR webpages.
