Delegation from Tianjin Foreign Studies University

Professor Barbara Allan, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of Westminster Business School, welcomed a delegation from Tianjin Foreign Studies University made up of:
- President and Professor Xiu Gang
- Dean of the School of International Business Professor Xin Chegg
- Deputy Dean Professor Wang Jincheng
- Section Chief of the Confucius Institute Office of International Co-operation and Exchange Division Wang Lin
The welcome was followed by a business meeting with Associate Dean Dr David Hitchcock, Director of Undergraduate Studies Dr Helen Batley and China Co-ordinator and Principal Lecturer in Marketing Dr Jackie Lynch. Vicky Li-Ong provided support with interpreting.
Following the meeting, our Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement Professor Alexandra Hughes formally welcomed the delegation and there was a signing ceremony in which Professor Xiu Gang and Professor Hughes signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
We are excited about this new partnership and look forward to working with colleagues from Tianjin Foreign Studies University to establish student and staff mobility, as well as potential research activities. Representatives from the University of Westminster hope to visit Tianjin Foreign Studies University in the autumn term.
