WIN-PAL Learning Café at Harrow starts on 15 October

9 October 2014

The first WIN-PAL learning café, on academic writing, will be held in the Forum on 15 October.

The Westminster Inspiration Network (WIN) project aims to use Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) to enhance the first–year students’ experience and to increase student involvement in, and ownership of, learning and development.

Our volunteers have had two evenings of training to become Learning Café Facilitators. They will be running peer assisted learning cafés in the Harrow campus to support new and 1st year students with their academic skills. The first café, on academic writing, will be held in the Forum on 15 October.

If you are a Media Art and Design student – in your 2nd or 3rd year or even a postgraduate student who was an undergraduate at the Harrow campus – then you can still volunteer to become a facilitator. There are great prizes for the best volunteers, including two premiere tickets to a red carpet premiere courtesy of LIONS GATE productions, art books from Lawrence King and a range of book vouchers.
