What is mentoring?

Mentoring is a two-way relationship designed to meet your professional development needs. During your first meeting with your mentor you'll set goals to help you to gain a sense of direction in both your career and academic life.

Our mentors typically offer three hours of their time over a 3-month period. Your mentor will help you to succeed in your career and facilitate your personal and professional growth. He/she will support, encourage and guide you in managing your career aspirations.

Why take part?

Our mentoring programme offers you a great opportunity to:

  • Get insights into the UK industry and policies
  • Develop your communication, networking and interpersonal skills
  • Increase your professional confidence
  • Receive feedback and share experiences with a senior professional
