UK Undergraduate Distant Horizon Awards – deadline extended until 30 May

The Distant Horizon Awards are part of a newly launched scheme aimed at promoting the benefits of work and study abroad. Each award provides up to £1,000 which can be used towards the costs of flights, accommodation or other expenses connected to your proposed trip.
Awards can be used to fund a variety of different academic or career-related activities so, whether you are planning on spending a year studying overseas, attending an international conference or summer school, or maybe even conducting your own field work research for your final year project, then you could benefit from a Distant Horizons Award. The deadline for applications is 30 May 2014.
