Three wins for University of Westminster students at CampusMovieFest UK 2014
Television, Film and Moving Image 2 December 2014
Two first year students from the Film BA Honours and Television Production BA Honours courses won the Golden Tripod Award for Best Drama. Their short film entitled 'Silent T' explores some of the social injustice issues transgender individuals frequently face.
'Silent T' was furthermore chosen to be shown at CampusMovieFest Hollywood in June 2015 and is up for more international awards. The national charity Stonewall has also expressed an interest in the film.
The two other University of Westminster student wins were for Best Picture for the short film entitled 'The Sculpted' and Best Production Design for the short film 'Girl in Closet'.
CampusMovieFest is the world's largest student film festival, providing students from select UK campuses with free equipment, training, and music, and received hundreds of entries this year.
