Installation of car park barrier at Harrow Campus

14 May 2014

To enhance safety and security of the Harrow site barriers are being installed at the entrance and exit of the car park. These will be in operation from Monday 2 June 2014.

There will be no change in operation except staff and students will be expected to use their University ID cards to swipe at the barrier to permit entry.

The Pay and Display remains operational at the two on-site machines and applies to all staff, students and visitors without a valid permit. Please remember to observe the 5mph speed limit at all times.

Annual permits are also available by application. Please pick up a form from the Forum reception desk.

Q. What happens if I don’t have my ID card on entry?

A. Press the call button for assistance from security. You will be asked to confirm your name, your car registration number and make of car. Please be aware that CCTV covers the car park and your details will be logged as are all users.

Q. What happens if I want to exit the car park in my vehicle?

A. The exit barrier will open automatically. No need to swipe.
