Music 17 October 2014

Fiona Bevan, managed by the Westminster Music Business Management MA Programme Director Sally Gross, won a BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) Award for her song "Little Things" co-written with Ed Sheeran and performed by boy band 'One Direction'.

The 2014 BMI London Awards were held on 13 October at London’s Dorchester Hotel to celebrate the U.K., European and Caribbean songwriters, producers and publishers of the most-performed songs on United States radio and television in the past year.

Picking up the award on behalf of Ed Sheeran was Luke McGrellis (who signed Sheeran to Atlantic Records), an alumnus of the Commercial Music BA Honours course and major label executive (A&R Director for Sony and ATV Music Publishing amongst others).

Fiona also recently gave a talk to students of the Music Business Management MA course at the Westminster Faculty of Media, Arts and Design. She spoke about her career and upcoming projects, giving students invaluable insights into the music industry.
