Film Screening of The Patrol with a Q&A with Director

19 March 2014

3 April 2014, Komedia Cinema, Brighton.

The War and Media Network www.warandmedia.org and the School of Media, Film and Music (MFM) University of Sussex www.sussex.ac.uk/mfm are pleased to host a film screening of The Patrol with a Q&A with the director, Tom Petch.

The Patrol is the first British fiction feature film to focus on the conflict in Afghanistan and was winner of the 2013 Raindance Best Feature Film. It examines the gritty realities of warfare using fictional characters to ask important questions about the legitimacy of the NATO campaign. With the scheduled withdrawal of all NATO troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2014 these questions could not be more pertinent.

The screening is on 3 April 2014, 6.15pm at the Dukes at Komedia Cinema, Brighton, UK.
