Sharing and Social Media
Delivered by Professor Graham Meikle, this lecture will explore the meanings and significance of sharing through social media, examining what it means for our identities and reputations, and for our understandings of media and communication.
Graham Meikle is Professor in the Communications and Media Research Institute in the Faculty of Media, Arts and Design, having previously taught at the University of Stirling, Scotland and at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. His most recent book is Media Convergence: Networked Digital Media in Everyday Life. He is also the author of Interpreting News and Future Active: Media Activism and the Internet.
