Sustainable Innovation 2014 due to take place 3-4 November in Copenhagen (Denmark).

The focus of the 19th annual Sustainable Innovation conference is on the catalytic role that cities and regions can play in the development of new sustainable solutions to transport, water, food, energy, waste and lifestyle problems, due to their public purchasing power and their dense networks of key actors in the innovation process. The conference aims to connect emerging grass-roots and ‘DIY’ approaches and technologies (including, for example, crowdsourcing and 3D-printing) with ongoing broader debates around sustainability and innovation.

Abstracts (around 500 words) are now invited, with the deadline of 1 April 2014. For more details please see http://cfsd.org.uk/events/sustainable-innovation-2014/

The International Eco-Cities Initiative is pleased to be associated with this major international event: Simon Joss serves on the conference Advisory Board along with other world experts in sustainability and innovation, and he and  colleagues look forward to presenting their work during the proceedings.
