From 17-20 November we are hosting Get the Digital Edge events to help you improve your digital literacy skills.

On the day you'll learn how to research jobs, discover useful apps and make the most of your online persona in preparation for the workplace.

Find out how to best present yourself online and get ready for the world of work in a series of talks and seminars including:

  • Managing your reputation online – Careers advisors from the Career Development Centre talk about why it's so important for your future career to manage your online identity and how you can improve your online profile.
  • Do's and don'ts of social media – Eleri Kyffin from the library shares top tips on using social media effectively.
  • Using library sources for job search and sector information – Ellie Murphy and Sara Goddard show you how to use company databases to research prospective employers before your interview.
  • LinkedIn workshop – Students' Union Vice President for Cavendish, Usman Mahmood, provides his expertise on creating a winning LinkedIn profile.
