University of Westminster student performed to thousands at West End LIVE in Trafalgar Square last Sunday

Music 26 June 2013

Zara Kershaw, a second year student of the Commercial Music Performance BMus Honours degree at the Faculty of Media, Arts and Design performed live at  West End Live Trafalgar Square on Sunday 23 June at 5pm.

We were very proud to see Zara onstage representing the University and joining in the festivities. Zara is already an accomplished artist with her debut album out in 2011 and has been busy working on her next record which is due to be released next month.

It was a busy and eventful evening, and we were pleased to be involved in this festival, represented by new blood in the music industry.  2013 is a particularly special year for the University as we  celebrate our 175 anniversary, as well as our 20 anniversary in commercial music, with more events to follow in October 2013 within the Music Department.

As part of our celebrations to mark 175 years of world-leading research, pioneering teaching, and providing education for all, the University of Westminster is organising a series of events for students, staff, alumni, our supporters and the public to join us in  marking this memorable moment in our history.
