Scholarship to study in China

The MA courses on offer that are taught in English over two years are:
- Film and Television Production
- New Media
- International Journalism and Communication
The successful students will get a full scholarship sponsored by the Chinese government including tuition fees, dormitory accommodation on campus in the international students building, monthly pocket money and flights between London and Beijing.
Degrees taught in Chinese are also open to Westminster graduates with some knowledge of the Chinese language. In such cases, an additional one year scholarship for the language course is offered.
Formerly the Beijing Broadcasting Institute, CUC is the premier institution of its kind. Based in the capital, it has over 20,000 students and is one of the '211' Project universities, confirming its status within China. The University Of Westminster has had a close relationship with CUC since 2004, running joint conferences and summer schools as well as undertaking academic research.

Applicants for the award are invited to submit a 500 word essay on what they hope to achieve from the course they wish to take and how they expect to benefit from the opportunity to study and live in China. The scholarship is not open to Chinese nationals.
