Media, Arts and Design students receive Achievement Awards

12 February 2013

The University of Westminster Achievement Award Ceremony for the School of Media, Arts and Design took place on Friday 25 January. Fifty-two MAD students received awards.

The ceremony was organised by the school, and the awards are funded by the Scholarships Office at the University. The Scholarships Office gives out 300 awards each year (across all seven schools) to the top students in each undergraduate course (moving from level 4 to level 5, and from level 5 to level 6).

The Scholarships Office puts on this programme to reward and encourage excellence and progression within the University. Each recipient receives an Achievement Award certificate and a £1,000 cheque.

Senior Scholarship Administrator Mamie Barden said:

“The University highly values educational excellence, and we want to show our students that we appreciate their hard work and dedication to their studies. Students make a university what it is, and we applaud the recipients for setting such high standards of quality amongst their peers.”

The event was followed by a celebratory drinks reception for the award-winners and their guests.
