The paper “Web 2.0 and micro-businesses: an exploratory investigation” has been chosen as a Highly Commended Award Winner at the Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2013.

These awards are given each year for each of the academic journals published by Emerald Group Publishing, and are chosen by each journal’s Editorial Team.

The paper was written by David Barnes, Fintan Clear, Romano Dyerson, G. Harindranath, Lisa Harris and Alan Rae and was published in the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development Vo. 13 No.4 pp. (pp. 687 - 711).

Emerald Literati Network - 2013 Awards for Excellence

Every year Emerald invites each journal’s Editorial Team to nominate what they believe has been that title’s Outstanding Paper and up to three Highly Commended Papers from the previous year (2012).

The award winning papers are chosen following consultation amongst the journal’s Editorial Team, many of whom are eminent academics or practitioners. This paper has been selected as it was one of the most impressive pieces of work the team has seen throughout 2012.
