Help to improve the Counselling Service

14 March 2013

We need your views on the kind of support you think students need. You can help us to understand what the Counselling Service should provide by filling in a short questionnaire.

University is a time of great change in students’ lives, which can be a lot of fun. But being away from home for the first time, being around new cultures and ideas, worries around friendships and relationships, concerns about sexuality, anxieties about exams and the future can sometimes be challenging.

It is not unusual for students to experience difficulties that affect their studies and their experience of being at University. Common concerns can include feeling lonely and isolated, family and money worries, depression, anxiety, and relationship problems.

We are interested in your views about the kind of help you would like to see at the University. Please complete our questionnaire – it won’t take long, and is completely anonymous. Your views will help in shaping the service that is available to students at the University. Any information you provide will be confidential.

The Students’ Union and the Counselling Service are also organising Focus Groups. If you would like to take part, please email [email protected]
