Building Engineering student wins the Constructors Prize from the Worshipful Company of Constructors

Property and Construction 26 February 2013

Westminster student Anthony Trainor has been awarded the Constructors Prize by the Worshipful Company of Constructors.

Anthony graduated in June 2012 with a First Class Honours Degree in Building Engineering. Anthony undertook the degree course on a part-time (day release) basis over five years whilst employed as a trainee engineer with Lorne Stewart, a specialist building engineering services firm.

Throughout the duration of his course Anthony achieved consistently high grades in his modules, culminating in the award of a First Class Honours Degree. Such a level of performance is obviously exceptional, but to achieve it whilst having to balance his studies with the demands of full-time employment is clear evidence of Anthony’s commitment.

Jane Wright, Head of Department of Property and Construction says: “Anthony was an enthusiastic and positive student. It has been a pleasure to have Anthony as a student and he is a worthy recipient of the Constructor’s Prize.”
