BA Television Production graduate edits National Television award prize winner

29 January 2013

BA (Hons) Television Production alumnus (2006) Jen Sheridan has completed an exciting six months as a series she edited, Paul O’Grady’s For The Love Of Dogs, has won the Best Factual Entertainment award at The National Television Awards.

Dogs are a continuing theme; this followed closely on her triumph at The Virgin Media Shorts competition, where she won first prize with ‘Rocket’, a short film starring her dog Bowie as an astronaut.

This netted a £30,000 prize, an award presented by Julie Walters and a BFI offer of support in producing her follow-up. Her TV editing credits include Don’t Tell The Bride, and she is already lined up for the next series of O’Grady’s For The Love Of Dogs.

Jenny sends her best wishes and good luck to the 2012 graduates nominated for the RTS London regional awards for Best Entertainment category and Best Documentary category (London region). BA Television Production students won the documentary category last year.
