Annual History prize awarded to student

The winner of the 2012/13 Social and Historical Studies Departmental Prize for History was Lyndsay Alexander.

The prize, a cheque for £100, is awarded annually to the student who has made the best contribution to the development of the discipline at the University.

Head of Department, Dr Martin Doherty said 'Lyndsay has made a big contribution to supporting and encouraging her fellow History students, through the History and Irish societies and her participation in Open and Applicant Days, fieldtrips and many other activities.  We congratulate her on her success, and wish her well for the future.'
