You are invited to the second Inaugural Lecture in the 2012-13 series
18 October 2012
We were pleased it was well attended, by 250 students, alumni, staff and members of the public. We are now planning the second event in the series and would again like to invite you to come along. The next lecture is taking place on Wednesday 7 November.
Beyond Tradition: East Asian Medicines in the 21st Century
Date: Wednesday 7 November 2012 at 6pm
Venue: The Old Cinema, 309 Regent Street, London W1B 2UW
Delivered by Professor Volker Scheid, Professor of East Asian Medicines at the School of Life Sciences, this lecture will examine reactions in both Asia and the West to a process that violates established narratives of modernity and, by implication, of who we moderns think we are.
