Santander bank donates £5,000 in student travel grants to University
15 June 2012
Santander bank has generously given the University of Westminster £5,000 in travel grants for undergraduate students.
The grants are part of a larger £40,000 donation towards student scholarships at the University and will help students take up opportunities abroad, such as internships, conferences and other events. The grants will initially be available to UK/EU undergraduate students.
The University of Westminster's award-winning scholarship scheme is the largest of any UK university and the travel grants will further enhance our funding offer to students.
The University is very grateful to Santander bank for this donation, which will enable the less well-off student to access opportunities they may otherwise have been unable to take up.
Santander bank's continuing, generous support of our scholarship programme also allows up to 10 students a year to study masters courses that they could not otherwise afford to enrol on.
