Placements Internships and Graduate Careers Fair 2012 - A great success

27 February 2012

Ambika P3 opened its doors on 1 February, to a range of top companies who all came to promote their work experience opportunities and recruit Westminster students.

Organised by the Business Experience Team based in the School Registry, the event took months of planning and promotion to ensure the day turned out a success for both students and employers.

Exhibitors included IBM, Bloomberg, CIM, Enterprise-Rent-A-Car, NHS, BUNAC, LOCOG (Bridging the Gap), Radisson and CIMA, to name a few, with a total of 30 employer/advice stands on the day. A few current placement students also came along with their employers to give first hand advice about the placement year and tips on the recruitment process.
Approximately 600 students turned up to the event, which included opportunities to network, attend presentations and seminars, interview for jobs, and gain 1-2-1 information and advice directly from the employers.

Feedback on the day from both students and employers was excellent. Employers were impressed with the numbers and quality of the students approaching them and thought them very enthusiastic. They were equally happy with the venue and arrangements.
