Angela Clow: Visiting Professorship

9 December 2010

Angela Clow will be a Visiting Professor at the University of Adelaide, Australia from January -April 2011 working on some exciting projects

Professor Angela Clow will be collaborating with researchers in the School of Paediatrics and Reproductive Health and Robinson Institute, at the University of Adelaide, on a number of projects in which her expertise in the field of stress endocrine systems will be extremely valuable. Firstly, she will be collaborating with Drs Ridding and Pitcher (School of Paediatrics & Reproductive Health) on a project examining the role of cortisol on neuroplasticity capacity in children born prematurely. It is likely that this pilot study will lead to the submission of a NHMRC Project grant application in the near future, with Prof Clow as a CI. Also, Professor Clow is collaborating with Assoc Professor Peter Catcheside and Professor Doug McEvoy (School of Molecular & Biomedical Science) on a project investigating cortisol secretion in sleep apnoea patients.
