In this second Let's Get Critical workshop we will be discussing the notion of secularism in a University context.
We are inviting the Westminster community (students, staff and externals) to join this debate and engage in a constructive dialogue.
We will be discussing the notion of secularism in a University context.
- How do we uphold equality and celebrate diversity in a multicultural and multi-faith context?
- How should we delimit religious practice in communal spaces?
- How do we provide equal opportunities for all to thrive at Westminster regardless of background or culture?
- How does Westminster maintain a secular approach while there is increasing pressure to be 'inclusive'?
The aim of the workshops is to provide educational support at an academic and corporate level but also to bring into the equation non-religious pastoral care for students in reflection of the University’s rich cultural nature.
This workshop aims to inspire the next generation of global citizens, professional leaders, and lifelong learners, who will be able to embed ‘Equality, Diversity and Inclusion’ as a core part of their life.
Please note this is an invitation to all students and staff members to make a positive real-world impact, cherish culture, embrace difference and individuality, and always be forward-thinking. So get involved and book your place now!
