Paul is an internationally exhibiting light artist with a background in both physics and fine art, with a 30-year career in kinetic light sculpture. Find out more about his work at www.paulfriedlander.com. The performance will be followed by the private view in the gallery.
Illustrating the potential and possibilities of interdisciplinary working, ILLUMINE is an interactive exhibition that explores aspects of art, science and image-making using light, and radiation beyond the visible spectrum. With work by students from arts and science backgrounds, the exhibition includes demonstrations of the first experiments in creating colour photographs, photo luminescent painting, artworks generated using bacteria on photographic materials, ‘sunography’, and much more.
Visitors attending the open day at the Harrow campus on 4 November will be able to see the exhibition and talk to the students involved.
The exhibition is open from 10am–5pm from Wednesday 4–Friday 6 November 2015, and 11am–2pm on Saturday 7 November at the Harrow Campus.
